The Mood Walker – Issue 4 – October 2014

Fall is upon us. Although summer has come to an end, fall brings its own unique pleasures — the beauty of changing leaves, the crisp autumn air, the sound of leaves crunching underfoot. Many regard this as the best time of year for a hike! While some Mood Walks groups may be finished for this year, others are continuing into the fall. In any case, check out “Staying Active in All Seasons” for tips about staying physically active year-round.

In this issue, we hear from Tom Friesen, President of Hike Ontario, and we review some highlights from Dr. Lisa Nisbet’s informative talk on “Environmental Psychology and the Science of Nature-Relatedness.” Finally, we will learn a little about poison ivy — we hope no one has any firsthand experience!

This will be our final Mood Walks newsletter — thanks to all who have contributed. We hope you have enjoyed reading, and we have certainly enjoyed hearing from you. Happy trails!
